I never knew that so much spit could come out of someone so little and adorable, BUT IT CAN!!! This weekend we discovered two little teeth under the surface of Isaac's lower gums so any day now we may see some little toothies! That would explain the constant gnawing on burp cloths, blankets, fingers, anything to soothe those itchy and sore gums! Needless to say I wanted to share some pictures of drool with you!

A wonderful couple in our lives occasionally showers Isaac with new treasures, recently Isaac received an elephant (I named it Ellie **L-E**). It started out all nice then Isaac pounced on Ellie and it was down for the count!

"My Son"

I have lots of little names I call Isaac, but Sal has one "My Son". He says it with such pride and love I know it is instilling confidence and security in Isaac each time Sal says it.

Isaac is the spitting image of his daddy (I think we should have named him Sal) and Isaac lights up when he sees his daddy. Sal can make Isaac giggle in ways I certainly can't and recently Isaac started this thing with Sal, while they're spending "their" time together. Isaac lays on his daddy's arm and quietly touches his face, almost telling him "I want to be just like you! I love you!". It's so sweet I'll have to try to catch it with my camera. *Sigh* Anyways, I was doing something in the kitchen when I heard this squeal of joy followed by this huge giggle. As I peeked into the living room I saw Sal doing something goofy and Isaac laughing with his huge toothless grin. I also have observed Sal trying to show Isaac how to crawl, imagine my Sal on all fours crawling around in our living room while Isaac just stares at him in wonderment. Sal is an amazing daddy, he will teach Isaac so many things I won't be able to. I am truly grateful to have such and incredible husband.

Isaac absolutely loves his daddy and Sal adores his son! Imagine, if we love our son so much words can't really explain, then how much more does our daddy God love us! Breath taking huh?!

While Isaac has his daddy's good looks (although he is starting to favor me) I do believe he got his love of water from his mommy! Isaac can be fussy fussy but when you strip him down and start walking towards the bathroom, his whole demeanor changes....he gets squirmy and giggly. He absolutely loves taking baths!

Ode to John Deer

While Sal's family was visiting during Mother's Day weekend, Jeanette and Kyle brought Isaac some John Deer goodies (they both work for John Deer and supply us with the COOLEST hats ever!). They brought Isaac 2 hats, a rattle that makes cow and pig sounds when up push the respective animal, and a corn teether that vibrates when you bite (press) on it. At first I was totally against the whole vibrating in your mouth when chewing on it, honestly what would that accomplish other than freaking Isaac out. Well last weekend, I ate my words. I gave it to Isaac just to see what he would do, and wouldn't you know it didn't freak him out he just held it there and let me push the corn. I guess it felt good on his swollen gums (he's got two little teeth under the surface, working their way out). So thanks Aunt Jeanette and Uncle Kyle for the great goodies and the corn teether!

Remember when we'd climb in the front seat and pretend to drive while our parents were pumping gas? We felt so "big"! Here's our boy "driving". He was really using the steering wheel as teething ring, but it was cute none the less!

On Father's Day, we tried cereal out again on Isaac. This time he didn't seem to mind as much, he still made a silly face and gagged every once in a while but he actually ate some of it! So this evening while Sal and I were eating fiesta chicken enchiladas I thought I would see if Isaac would like to try a banana. He wasn't too sure at first but then really seemed to enjoy it! He even wanted to hold his spoon, which he gagged himself with later, but he was trying!
