My mom and dad (Pops and Gigi) spent the day with Isaac today. They always have so much fun! I can hear him squealing with joy! I love him so much!

Spray Park

We went to Port Neches Park - Spray Park this evening! Isaac wasn't too sure of the place the first time we went, but today he took off and had a blast. I think he was so brave because Shelby (our friends daughter) was with him. He also became a little heart breaker today...a little girl (and her older sister) followed him all over the place trying to hold his hand and "be his friend" but he just kept going opposite directions and saying "no!" It was soo funny! Anyways, enjoy the slide show!

Our friends Zach and Cheri and their adorable son Caleb came and stayed with us for a few days. Isaac and Caleb enjoyed playing with each other and rocking out with the Fridge DJ! Isaac gets his moves from his daddy!

Hey Stranger!

So We've Been MIA lately, in the blog world at least! Things have been great, I've been staying home with Isaac for three almost four months now and it has been amazing! It hasn't been all play dates though! I subbed for a the last part of the school year and went back to school - to get my teaching certification!

I've made some really great friends, we refer to ourselves as the "circle of trust" heehee! We've created a bit of a support group as we whiz through this program. One thing I've noticed with us is there is no competition (maybe a little when it comes to scores on tests but thats it), there is no cattiness, there is a quiet sense of security and encouragement. We lift eachother up when one of us is down, discouraged or freaked out. So to my Cirlce of Trust - You Guys Are Awesome!

With my classes comes lots of tests....lots, tests you actually have to pay $$$ to take! WHAT!?!? I have to take 3 to get my certification in Early Childhood (EC) - 4th Grade (two tests), and Special Ed EC-12. I've taken one and have 2 to go...but the good news is....


I PASSED my content test!! WOOOHOOO! I made a 275 out of 300!! What does this mean?? I can apply for jobs now, because I am "Highly Qualified" to teach in Texas!!! Go Me!!

Along with school we've been busy playing outside (when it's cool enough) and Isaac is growing like a weed! Stay tuned lots is coming!

So a few months ago I mentioned that we had a climber...well a few weeks ago he took it to a whole new level.

That's right, he pulled his tractor onto the chair and watched cartoons while sitting on the deer.

In Daddy's Shoes

He actually walked around a little before tumbling to the ground! He has this fascination with Sal's shoes. He is also learning how to put on and take off his own shoes. He's growing so fast! I am sooo thankful to be able to spend these months with him, I am so blessed.

and that he can see others (while in camera mode).

Sewing Projects!

I've been wanting to learn to sew and I had mentioned I wanted a sewing machine, and I got one for my birthday! (Katie you inspired me to pursue this, I've always wanted to learn but didn't have the guts!) So I sat down last Wednesday (while Isaac took a nap) and gave it a try. Of course I had NO IDEA how to wind a bobbin or thread the machine, so I tried to load the informational DVD on my lap top (but it didn't work) so I had to do it the old fashioned way...read and do EEEEK! I'm not exactly a read and learn kindof person, I learn better if you show me.

Here I go....

Anyways, I wanted to make a "mom bag" for my diaper bag - since I lose all of my stuff in Isaac's diaper bag no matter how organized I try to be. So with two kinds of fabric, buttons and ribbon I set out to create my first project...what do you think? (It's big enough for my wallet, camera and little things like chap stick, keys and phone)

Today (Wednesday again!) I start class for my teaching certification...and I wanted to make something I could keep my pens in - considering I always lose them no matter how big or small my purse is - something cuter then a pencil pouch - so again during Isaac's nap, I created this modern pencil pouch! How cute is this!!?!?

**Don't be discouraged or intimidated if you want to try something new, it is so worth it when you discover that you're good at what you've always wanted to do!**

Aquarium

Sal and I took Isaac to the Aquarium in a few weeks ago. It was so much fun (crowded but fun) and Isaac enjoyed seeing everything. While we were at the penguin exhibit, Isaac was standing with his nose pressed to the glass and a penguin swam right up to him - beak to nose - and stared at him for about 10 seconds! It was crazy! We were so surprised we didn't grab our camera! Enjoy the slide show!

Easter Basket

Our Friend, Meagan, made amazing Easter Basket and Goodie Tray's this year. So we ordered a boy's basket -OH MY GOODNESS! It is the cutest thing I have EVER seen! And of course I couldn't wait to give it to Isaac (he was sitting on the couch when she came over with it) so I let him look through it! Enjoy the slide show!!!

Houston we have a...

CLIMBER!!!

Isaac has recently discovered he can climb. He climbs onto the couch, he climbs on the toys at the mall, he climbs up the stairs to his slide, and now he's discovered he can climb to the top of the toy that helped him learn to walk.....greeaaat!

He actually made it to the top (both feet, no hands) but I was laughing so hard, holding onto his legs that I couldn't get a picture! What am I going to do!? Thankfully he can't climb out of his crib (yet)...not that he hasn't tried, thankfully he's still a little short.

Zoo with Friends

The first Friday I was off, Isaac and I went to the Houston Zoo with some great friends (old and new!) - Shannon, Maggie, Lilly, Meagan, Jagger, Judson, Stephanie, and Addison. This was my first "trip" without Sal and I was a little nervous. But Isaac did absolutely amazing. He slept on the way, had fun during the zoo, and slept home. It wasn't until he was with daddy did he have a melt down! Enjoy some of the pictures!
